DeGroot, Inc. was formed in 1957 by Peter DeGroot.
In 1992 the company was purchased by Terry Richardson and Shirley Leith. We are a wholesale nursery grower located just 6 miles from Lake Michigan in southwestern Michigan. The sandy loam soil allows us to grow most of our perennials on 350+ acres of farmland. Modern office,  packaging and storage facilities make up the 100,000
square feet of building on the nursery. The company sells to a wide variety of customers including major retail chains, home improvement centers, hardware cooperatives, other wholesalers and individual retail
outlets. Sales are concentrated on the spring and fall seasons with the primary shipping months falling in February, March, and August. |
